I think these are very wise and insightful words from a woman who had so many obstacles in her life. She is proof positive that whatever doesn’t kill makes you stronger.
Developing character is such an essential part of life. A person, however, controls his own development. One small example of this is so obvious. How many excuses can a person make to avoid exercising, making excuse after excuse. Yet the minute a person finishes their first workout after a long layoff, they feel great. Take this feeling and harness it throughout your daily agenda. Do not put things off until later and your life becomes less confusing. Don’t have time to prepare dinner after work–prepare it in the morning. Don’t have time to do all that laundry until it piles up–do a small load every morning, everyday. Don’t have time to exercise–get up earlier and do it at home. Develop this part of your character and success will follow.
I truly enjoyed and learned much from your article regarding healthy eating. I will never look at hydrogenated vegetable oil the same way. I also became aware that high fructose corn syrup blocks the release of a hormone called “Leptin” which signals the body that you are full. It also allows overproduction of the hormone “ghrelin” which increases your appetite. Therefore eating products containing high fructose corn syrup not only pack on calories, they cause you to over eat. A double problem. It is amazing how chemicals can cause such problems in your system.
