I have a workout schedule that I follow as well. A very important of my work out is breathing. It helps the body and relaxes the mind. Maybe you can speak to the importance of breathing during exercising/

Very interesting article. Stretching is a great way to keep fit. At 53 years of age I am able to do the same activities as I did in my teens without the risk of injury. How? Yoga, which is stretching, has been a routine of mine for the past 11 years. I have to say that each morning I do a different 20-30 minute yoga routine that keeps my tight muscles stretched. I am able to play ball, throw, golf, swim, bike, walk, lift things, all without the fear of the next day waking up and being in discomfort or even worse pain. Prior to yoga I pulled muscles, had charlie horses, had pinched nerves, had aches and pains constantly and if I did an activity I did not do in a while I was set back for days. Now I faithfully do my routines each and every morning. You can use dvd's but be careful not to start with someone like Wai Lana who is extremely flexible. Try Yoga Zone dvd's that explain to you there is no reaching for limits, you go only as far as you can. I am very tight muscled and compact and after 11 years of yoga I still cannot do what other's do. SO WHAT! I do what I CAN DO! That is what is important.
